“I want ballsy low end, I want clear highs. I want cutting midrange, I want broadness. This was never possible in one single guitar until Aristides found a way to do it: Arium. Add insane playability, stability and swag and you have the perfect guitars.”

Bio

Timo Somers (born 15 December 1991) is a Dutch guitar player, songwriter, producer and singer. He is known as the founder of Tri-Head and as a member of symphonic metal band Delain, legendary rock band Vengeance and Hardt.

Timo started exploring the world of guitar on his own, without any lessons or whatsoever when he was 12.

‘Music is the ultimate form of self-expression’, Timo says. ‘I could not possibly imagine a life anymore without it, whether I am sad, happy, confused, crazy, I always find a way to express my feelings trough my guitar, a life without a guitar is like a life without a soul, for me’.

Timo joined Vengeance when he was 17. When he was not touring Europe with them he was producing and recording songs for his own song library. In 2011 Vengeance recorded the album Crystal Eye in the name of his late father. Timo appears on 2 songs: Crystal Eye and Promise Me.

At the age of 18 Timo started studying at the Rockacademie, which he quit a year later because he joined dutch symphonic metal band Delain. He currently tours the world with them and played on their albums; We Are The Others and The Human Contradiction.

Timo is currently working on his debut instrumental album together with Atma Anur (Journey, Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, Jason Becker, etc), Barend Courbois (Blind Guardian, Vengeance) and specials guests. This project is called Timo Somers’ Tri-Head. Their Studio album will be released soon.

Aside from Delain, Vengeance and Tri-Head he is also currently working on different recording projects and session work; playing live with the Timo Somers Band & Gary Moore tribute, doing clinics and working on a series of singles with his band Hardt, in which he handles the vocals, guitars and main songwriting.
