“Ever since I held an Aristides instrument in my hands at NAMM 2020 I instantly fell in love with the craftsmanship and attention to detail while still maintaining a clear and resonant sound. That’s not a combination that is this common in the guitar industry anymore. After speaking with the awesome guys at Aristides we designed my dream guitar which exceeded any expectations in playability, aesthetics and sound. These guys are the real deal and I’m honoured to be a part of the team.”

Bio

MARANG, a Greek Cypriot composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, specializes in heavy instrumental progressive music with jazz and fusion influences, similar to artists like Plini, David Maxim Micic, and Intervals.

During the pandemic, MARANG created his debut EP, ‘Metamorphosis,’ in his bedroom-turned-creative sanctuary. Despite lockdown challenges, he poured his heart and soul into every note, riff, melody, and solo.

One standout track is ‘Fractured Steps,’ featuring saxophonist John Waugh (The 1975) and drummer Chris Allison (Plini), resulting in an epic musical fusion.

“Working with John Waugh and Chris Allison was a dream come true; their unique styles and musicality perfectly aligned with the vision I had for ‘Fractured Steps.’”

MARANG further collaborated with acclaimed musicians Anup Sastry (Devin Townsend, Marty Friedman, Monuments) and Jack Gardiner (Stu Hamm).

“Collaborating with these talented individuals was an absolute privilege; their incredible talent and creativity brought my ideas to life.”

Additional credit goes to Grammy Award-nominated producer Pete Smith, mastering engineer Acle Kahney (Tesseract), and mixing engineer Philip Zilfo, who captured the essence of the music.

MARANG’s ‘Metamorphosis’ EP showcases his passion and dedication to creating compelling instrumental music. The whole EP tells a story that is unique to every listener which is exactly what was intended.
