Brandon Hutcheson is the lead guitarist and a key songwriter of Sydney, Australia’s latest progressive metalcore export, Reliqa.
At its heart, Reliqa is a band that prioritises open-mindedness and individuality, vowing to leave no stone unturned in its pursuit of complete artistic expression. The fresh, genre-bending soundscape and commanding live performance the band has cultivated from this ethos has seen them ink deals with Greyscale Records (AUS) and Nuclear Blast (ROW) and tour alongside icons BABYMETAL, Korn, Spiritbox, Periphery and more. 2024 marked the band’s first venture into full-length albums with the critically acclaimed ‘Secrets of the Future’, a record which places Brandon’s unique prowess as a guitarist front and centre in a multitude of different tunings and tonalities. From shimmering leads to razor-sharp riffs, Brandon needs an instrument that can not only do it all, but also continually inspire new, diverse ideas. For this reason, Brandon has proudly and exclusively used Aristides guitars for over four years.
Alongside his endeavours with Reliqa, Brandon has attained a Bachelor of Creative Industries majoring in Audio Engineering and Sound Production from JMC Academy.
