Designing Your Dream Finish
What’s the custom finish ordering process?
When a customer has a custom finish request, we take it very seriously – it becomes a collaborative process. We’re happy to provide our own input based on your idea, & we always first test the finish on a backplate to make sure we are both totally happy before moving forward on the full guitar.
How do I come up with my own crazy idea?
Looking for inspiration? Many customers send us an existing build for reference, & we help tweak it to their taste. You can combine two of our finish types such as fade & sparkle to make something new, base the finish around a custom inlay, take inspiration from a piece of media you enjoy, or make a tribute to a loved one. Consider the feeling you want to get when you look at your guitar.
What makes Aristides finishes unique?
We heavily invest in our own proprietary finishing techniques & technology; not just to pair properly with our proprietary composite material but to make the highest quality guitar finishes possible. As our repeat clients asked for more & more advanced detail work in the late 2010s, we prioritized paint shop & art department expansion to ensure our guitars look as unique as they feel.
